lucky for us kampala has its fair share of chinese, italian, indian, and american food, but yesterday we had our first dose of full on african food. i had matoke and g nut sauce. matoke is basically mushed up plantains...but they taste more like turnips/potatoes/squash. not as bad as it sounds. g nut sauce is their version of peanut sauce, so it was almost like pad thai buuutt...with bananas. you should google it. oh additionally, today we had some freshly slaughtered crocodile. tastes just like alligator.
oh also on the lines of food, the court staff have been brining us snacks and drinks everyday....awesome. all of their drinks are for sure in glass bottles which makes them more delicious. and today we got some tasty bananas (not plantains) and some samosas. which were tasty.
ok so these photos are in reverse chronological order...super. enjoy. (sorry theyre so small. my internet is rather african.)
